The Great Pumpkin Patch

We took the kids and headed down to The Great Pumpkin Patch in Hayden, AL. The kids had a blast! Brinkley was so fascinated with all the pumpkins! It was too cute! We went on a hayride and let the kids pick out their pumpkins, then Braydon went for a horse ride. I kept thinking while we were waiting in line that he would chicken out, but he didn't. He is such a big boy! We had a picnic lunch and then took the kids to the bounce houses they had set up and let them go to town! The kids and daddy were asleep before we got on the interstate. We had a great day! Lots of good memories made today!

Brinkley Turns 1

Brinkley turned one Friday...I cannot believe it has been a year already since she came into this world....It feels like longer in some ways and then in some it feels like just yesterday I held her in my arms for the first time. Time really does fly by! We had her B-day party at Mimi and Papa T's house in Arkansas and she had a great time! Thanks to everyone that came out and made this such a special day for her!

Can we say Spur of The Moment?!?!?

So it's just a normal Saturday and the weather was AWESOME so we decided to take the kids to the Montgomery Zoo. Some people that Jerron work with had told him how nice it was and that we should really go check it out. We are on our way home and on the drive Jerron and I get to talking and I told him I didn't wanna go home just quite yet. He asked me what I wanted to do and so I told him I wasn't sure...and then the words came out of his mouth. "Let's go to the beach". And so we did. Unfortunately we did not decide this before the zoo so we drove from Alabaster to Montgomery..then back home...then off to the beach. It was amazing that I packed us all up as fast as I did and only forgot just a few minor things like pajamas for kiddos. My sister in-law and her family were in Destin so we called looking for a spot close to them so we could visit. Everyone was booked. My sister in-law said they had plenty of room where they were staying so we just stayed with them. We had a great time and a great visit with the family. It was sad to go. We are going back in a couple of weeks though and I cannot wait! Thanks again to the Barnes family for letting us crash with you! It was great!

Splash Pad Birthday Party

The kiddos went to a birthday party tonight at Splash Pad in Gardendale,AL. They had a blast! It was basically just a park with fun sprinklers everywhere. Right up Braydon's Alley! He had so much fun! Braydon was so cute! I put Brinkley's suit on her and let her get out in it a little bit. There were alot of other kids there and everytime another kid would approach Brinkley, Braydon would say.."Look out for my baby sister". So freaking sweet!

MiniVan Mom?!?!?

Well it is official...I have become a minivan mom...At first I wasn't really sure how I felt about this. I mean it's a freaking minivan. I am no longer cool and hip. I DRIVE A FREAKING MINIVAN FOR CRYING OUTLOUD! We had been talking about it for a while and started looking a couple of weeks ago. We found one we both loved...well one I could grow to love I should say and bought it Tuesday night. I was excited in a way and a little down as well. I always swore when I had Braydon that no matter how many children we decided to have I would NEVER and I mean NEVER drive a van. I always said that I would stay in a suv of some sort. Well we took it out the next day because I had a few errands to run. I AM IN LOVE! Who knew a van could be soooo great! IT IS SO CONVENIENT WITH KIDS! So yes I am now a minivan mom and I am proud of it! I don't care what anyone thinks! It is wonderful and I know our next trip to Arkansas will be so much better with all the room we have now! So thank you Lord for letting me be more openminded about the van b/c if not I probably would have never even considered it for a second!

Spiderman comes to Birmingham

Today Braydon and Brinkley got to meet Braydon's favorite superhero. He got to meet SPIDERMAN! It was so funny watching all the kids there....You would have thought Robert Pattinson had just walked in the room or something! All the kids were going nuts when Spiderman came out! It was a hoot! Braydon just kept saying..."Mommy he is here Mommy he is here!" Super cute! Brinkley just kinda looked at him...Not too sure what to think about it! At first I wasn't sure if it was going to be worth the wait..Afterall we did wait in line for over an hour to see him for a total of 30 seconds...but it was definately worth it. The kids did great! They even got to get his "autograph". LOL

A Day at the Park

Today was beautiful day so we packed some snacks and water and headed to the our favorite park and made a day of it! The kids loved it! We took a loaf of bread and Braydon fed the ducks which is his favorite thing about this park! Mommy's favorite thing is that when we spend a day at the park both children take excellent naps when we get back home! :)
