Sick Kiddos!

Okay if my children do not get well I am going to go crazy....It seems I get one of them well and then the other catches it...Then they seem to pass it back and forth and so on and so on. We went to the doctor today for Brinkley b/c she has been so sick! She has been stopped up for a couple of days and she isn't sleeping well at all...which also means I am not getting ANY sleep. I called her doctor today to get her in and he was all booked so we opted for another doctor in the office. We get there and sign in..Braydon was being very good at this point b/c he was told he could have a "suprise" if he was a good boy in the doctor. Well we went back and were put in a room while we waited on the doctor...And for those of you who don't know...If your child is sick and gets a last minute appt the wait back in the room is FOREVER!!! Especially to a 3 year old. Braydon was very good for the first hour we were there. Then he was tired, sick of being cooped up in the TINY room, and did I mention tired! I thought I was going to lose my mind! The doctor finally came in and checked her and decided it would be safe to do an xray of her chest to look at her lungs and rule out pnemonia...Then they did blood work to check for any infections and apparently this little test takes 30 min to see results. OH MY GOODNESS!!! Braydon started climbing on things, wanting to play in the trashcan...and so on....Let's just say he did not get his suprise....and we left today w/ him having a black eye. I promise I did not give it to him.

The Nurse comes in and tells me that I need to bring Brinkley down the hall for her xrays..Then she tells Braydon he can just stay in the room if that's okay with me. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!? I politely just said.." I think he should come with me unless you want whatever is in that trashcan out all in the floor with him going through it". Finally it was all over and we got good news that Brinkley has no infection and no pnemonia. Whew! I just have to bring her back in if she doesn't take a turn for the better in the next 3-4 days.

We had quite a day today! I was worn out. Both of my children were alseep b/f we got home from the doctor. We got home...I stuck Braydon in his bed, carried Brinkley's carseat to her room and let her sleep in there..I was so not waking her up...I laid on the couch and caught up on my shows that I had on the dvr and did nothing until the kiddos woke up. :)

Happy Birthday Jerron!!!

Today was Jerron's 34th Birthday so we did a little something at home for him. A yummy cookie cake and couple of presents from the kiddos. Fun Fun! I can't wait for the next birthday so I have an excuse to buy another cookie cake. Yummo!

Brinkley is now holding her own bottle. :)

Before the very lowkey shindig at our house me and Braydon had a conversation about Daddy's birthday. I asked him what he wanted to do for Daddy since it was his birthday....

Me: What do you want to do for Daddy since it's his birthday today?

B: I want Birthday cake

Me: Okay...anything else?

B: Yes...Daddy told me he wanted a big ole spiderman jumpin thang in the backyard...

Movie Night

Tonight was movie night for Braydon b/c he is still going poo poo in the potty like a big boy. The Rushings were nice enough to keep Brinkley for us so it was just us and Braydon...He thought that was so cool. We went and seen Madagascar 2. Very cute movie! Braydon was good. He sat still the whole movie and never said a word. When the movie first came on he said..."That's the biggest t.v. I ever seen in my whole life!" So cute! He loved his first trip to the movie theatre. After the movie we went to the Rushings to pick up Brinkley. The report was not good. Apparently every time Miss Brinkley realizes her mommy is not there she loses her mind. Sorry again Shannon and Amy! We owe You!!!

No More Pull Ups Here!!!

Braydon is finally going poo poo in the potty!! This is so huge..Who would have ever thought this would make me so happy! He was always asking for a diaper when he had to poo...He is been pee peeing in the potty for a year now but no poo. So last week I decided I was done with pull ups...He was going to bed in underwear and everything. He has done great not wetting the bed! We have had only 2 accidents in 1 week which I think is great for just starting the night time thing. Well I started this a little over a week ago..Monday was day 6 of Braydon not having gone poo at all. He will not poo in underwear which is great...but bad thing is he just holds it in. Monday all day he cried and whined for a diaper all day...He said he needed to poo poo really really bad. I sat him on the potty and he had a total meltdown on the potty. It was bad. We sat there for around 20 minutes or so and still no poo. After naptime we went back and he told me his hiney was hurting...So I figured he was constipated from holding it in...I went to Wally World and bought him a suppository. When I got home I gave it to him. ( which by the way he thought I was nuts) About 10 min later he said he needed to go poo poo. Jerron took him to the potty and he poo pooed in the potty! Yepeeeeeeee!!!! We took him to the movie story and bought him a new movie...It was about 8pm when this was going on..He got to stay up late and watch his movie...I didn't care one bit..He pooed in the potty and that is all that matters. He even poo pooed the next day in the potty...This morning he was wanting to watch his new movie which he only gets to watch when he goes poo poo in the potty. He didn't have to poo poo though. This was our conversation. Still cracking me up.

B: I wanna watch my movie

Me: You only get to watch it if you poo poo

B: ( after sitting on the potty) I can't do it right now

Me: Well we can try again later and maybe you will

B: No..You give me that medicine that makes me poop so I can watch my movie. :)

Gotta Love it!!!

Playdates and First Foods

We had a playdate with the Rushings and boy did the kids have fun! Ms. Amy made some yummy Chili and the kids played and played.

Brinkley slept through most of it in the pack and play.

Brinkley was eating her greenbeans the other day and Braydon was very curious on why Brinkley gets to eat greenbeans in a jar and he doesn't. I asked him if he wanted to taste and this was a little of our conversation.

B: Why can't I eat those in a jar like her?

Me: This is baby food for babies..You eat big boy food.

B: I want to eat green beans like dat.

Me: Ok..here try some

B: ( After tasting a bite) I just eat my big boy food.

Happy New Year!!!

It's 2009...I can't believe it...Our New Year's was super exciting! It was a New Years full of playing the wii, hungry hippo, and watching some fireworks...5 years ago I would have thought I was pathetic...Now I love it and wouldn't have it any other way! New Years Day we ate our traditional black eyed peas and cabbage...Not my favorite things to eat but hey..it brings you luck and wealth...So who cares!

Merry Christmas!!!

We spent the Christmas Holidays in Arkansas this year and got to see everybody which was nice, but busy. Christmas Eve we went to Pappy and Maws house and then we were off to Papa and Memaws...Then we jetted back to Mimi and Papa T's so Santa could come. Christmas Day we went to Russellville to see Nana Genda and Papa Dale, then that night we drove to Bee Branch to see Nana Ann and Joe. So here are some pictures from Seeing Santa, to christmas parties at school, to our trip to Arkansas. We Stayed busy busy busy, but it was all worth it! Hope everyone else had a Merry Christmas!
